Maranatha Christian School was established earlier this year in 2024 in response to numerous requests from our local christian community to start a Christian school in the area. The President of Maranatha Christian School, Dr. Naeem Nasir, is also the founding pastor of Good Samaritan churches in Pakistan. He constructed a church in Dina, Jhelum in 2016, becoming the first Pentecostal church in the city near the Azad Kashmir border. Dr. Nasir assigned a pastor in the area to provide pastoral services and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in neighbouring villages. When we embarked on establishing a tuition-free school in the area earlier this year, the primary challenge, both then and now, has been finding a suitable building. Despite facing hurdles and discrimination, we remain resolute and passionate. We have taken a bold leap of faith by starting a small school for primary classes in the church premises, utilizing the pastor’s house for classroom space.
